Tutors are paid monthly as independent contractors. Payments are processed securely through ADP, and you’ll receive detailed session reports.

Every UYT tutor is a certified teacher or experienced long-term substitute. We review each applicant’s credentials, background, and teaching philosophy to ensure they’re a great fit.
Tutoring rates are set by tutors and typically range from $35–$60 per hour. UYT also offers a sliding scale and scholarship opportunities through grants and sponsorships to help families with financial needs.
Our matching system considers grade level, subject needs, learning style, scheduling, and even language preferences. We work closely with families to ensure a strong fit.
After each session, tutors complete a short progress report that’s shared with parents. We also provide regular check-ins and feedback forms to make sure goals are being met.

Your sponsorship directly funds tutoring sessions for students whose families cannot afford them. Every dollar goes toward expanding access to certified teacher-led tutoring.
Yes. Sponsors are recognized on our website, in promotional materials, and at community events. We love celebrating the businesses that invest in student success.
At this time, sponsorships directly support tutoring scholarships for families but are not tax-deductible since UYT operates as an LLC. We are actively exploring partnerships with local nonprofit foundations, such as GiveWell Community Foundation or United Way, to make future sponsorships tax-deductible. In the meantime, every sponsorship dollar still goes directly toward expanding access to certified teacher-led tutoring.
